Background
In the 2020 Puerto Rico Democratic primary, Biden won 56% of the vote against former candidates Bernie Sanders and Michael Bloomberg, who had each withdrawn from the race at the time of voting.
Candidates
Incumbent President Joe Biden announced his bid for a second term on April 25, 2023. He faces a primary challenge from author, progressive activist, and 2020 presidential candidate Marianne Williamson, and Representative Dean Phillips. All three candidates appeared on the ballot.
